KARACHI: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday issued orders for the release of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Amir Khan on bail after his declaration of bail was accepted on Monday,
The objections of the security bond for bail clarified that the court issued orders for his release. The court granted bail to Khan against security bond of Rs.1 million.
Later, the Court issued his order that Aamir Khan can not leave the country until the completion of the investigation.
In their statements, the court said the bail application of the accused is being accepted on faulty investigation.
Opposing the bail application, Rangers lawyer Rana Khalid said that a new Joint Investigation Team (JIT) was forming for the new investigation, admitting that the investigation was incomplete.
Arguing before the judge, the lawyer Shaukat Hayat Khan said that neither any solid evidence against his client could arise or had any of the suspects wanted confirmed the allegations.
An FIR was registered against Khan for allegedly providing shelter for 26 Rangers wanted suspects detained during the raid in and around the MQM headquarters, Nine Zero, in Azizabad on 11 March.
Aamir Khan was also one of those arrested in the raid on a case concerning instigating terrorism and harboring criminals.
