The veteran actor Dharmendra, who was in the hospital after the weakness and shoulder pain, was discharged today, but will have to undergo surgery.

The 79-year-old actor was admitted to the Breach Candy Hospital on May 27 after he complained of pain in his right shoulder and weakness.

“He had come here for general health check. We did the necessary research and found that all is well. He is fine … nothing to worry about. Thus, it has been discharged this afternoon,” orthopedic surgeon Dr. Sanjay Desai told PTI.

He, however, he said Dharmendra may have to undergo further surgery.
“I can not confirm anything now that we will have to talk to him (Dharmendra),” he said.
The wife Hema Malini Dharmendra took to Twitter to update fans about the health of the actor.
“Only one update Dharamji. He was admitted to Breach Candy to check your blood count as he felt tired all the time and check your shoulder pain,” she tweeted.
The actress and politician Dharmendra said BJP is currently under observation and asked fans to pray for his speedy recovery.
“His hemoglobin count was a little low, so that was anemic. Under observation now he can have surgery on the shoulder a little later. Prayer is very fast.”
The actor has delivered Superhit many movies during the 1960s and 70s as “Anupama”, “Satyakam”, “Chupke Chupke”, “Jeevan Mrityu”, “Mera Gaon Mera Desh”. He immortalized the character of ‘Veeru’ along with actor Amitabh Bachchan in Ramesh Sippy 1975 blockbuster “Sholay”.
The actor, known as “He-man” of Bollywood, was conferred the Padma Bhushan in 2012.
