ISLAMABAD: Pakistan India Business Council (PIBC) here Friday welcomed the meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Indian Prime Minister Narindara Modi, which he described as constructive and meaningful for peace and prosperity region.
Muhammad Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi met in UFA (Russia) within the framework of the SCO summit on Friday in an attempt to restart the stalled peace process between the two countries.
Adviser to the Prime Minister on National Security Sartaj Aziz and Special Assistant for Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi were present during the meeting.
“We appreciate the willingness of the two prime ministers of Pakistan and India to continue the dialogue and its determination to resolve disputes and outstanding issues through negotiations for peace and prosperity of the region,” President PIBC Noor Muhammad Kasuri told APP here today.
Also welcomed the offer made by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to his Indian counterpart Muahammad Narindara Modi visit Pakistan next year on the eve of the summit of SAARC.
Kasuri expressed hope that the visit of Indian Prime Minister to Pakistan could help resolve disputes between the two countries.
He appreciated the peace efforts of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to prosperity in the South Asian region and urged the Indian Prime Minister to reciprocate the peace efforts of Pakistani Premier.
He was of the view that all countries in this region can overcome their problems and offer best facilities of life of its people, always cooperating with each other.
