I award-winning film Shonali Bose, Kalki Koechlin-starring ‘Margarita, with a straw’ has been informed by the Central Board of Film Certification follow the moral standards and therefore make cuts.
“Margarita, with a straw ‘revolves around Laila, who suffers from cerebral palsy. It’s a piece of film in which Laila life embarks on a journey to find love and acceptance.
After seeing the film, the Examining Committee (EC) asked manufacturers to tone down a kissing scene between Kalki and Sayani Gupta, which Shonali Bose says: “There Dec. 1-second long kiss between the two characters but the CBFC had problems with it.
